Department of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry

SMBioCom occupies three laboratories (3 x 60 m2) in the Department of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry and has all the facilities and equipment necessary for carrying out conventional organic synthesis and the solid-phase synthesis of peptides.

For students

In SMBioCom's laboratories you will be able to work in a stimulating environment on one of the group's different lines of research within the fields of Organic Synthesis, Organometallic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry. Depending upon your level of experience you may join us as as an internal student (internships), a Master's student or as a PhD student. Furthermore, every year we receive Erasmus students from other countries outside Spain for short stays.

For scientists and academic researchers

The permanent members of SMBioCom are open to scientific collaboration in our fields of expertise with researchers from other groups, Universities or research centers. We enjoy participating in projects where there are synergies between the partners and where our different strengths can be utilized to advantage.

For industry

SMBioCom has a long history of collaboration with industrial companies in which we can bring to bear our knowledge and technological resources in the fields of Organic Chemistry and Medical Chemistry.
