Exhibition: 100 anys de la mecànica quàntica (100 Years of Quantum Mechanics), 11/ 12/25 – 06/30/26

The Historic Collection of the CRAI Library at Physics and Chemistry organizes an annual exhibition dedicated to a specific topic. This year, it commemorates the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the foundations of quantum mechanics.

In the summer of 1925, Werner Heisenberg proposed the first formulation of quantum theory — completed in the autumn of the same year by Max Born, Pascual Jordan, and Heisenberg himself, and independently by Paul Dirac — known as matrix mechanics. Starting in January 1926, Erwin Schrödinger established an alternative formulation: wave mechanics.
